From heart i have always been a daring and adventurous one. A week before my friends started to plan for a trip. However it was difficult to make any consensus as everybody was of different mind. Somebody suggested for Sunderbans, others were of opinion to have a go at Darjeeling. Still others were pleading for Shimla. In the middle of arguments someone suggested to go to for Digha, a well known picnic spot in West Bengal. After Stormy sessions of discussion Digha came out as a winner.Though i was thinking for some other place, i didn't wanted to touch the traquility of our group and nodded along with others.
I and my two friends, lalan and prabhat, had already been to digha. So it was not going to be any new experience, but a pack of six and that two in our final days of college, who would have wished to miss it. Being the senior pro in our pack we knew the details of our travelling plan. We started late, may be at 11 o'clock at night. However the drama started when i and my friend lalan started asking them to sit on the roof top of bus.I felt that would be more adventure and it was what i was looking for. Others were stunned by our idea. They obviously refused it. We two started poking them. After almost half an hour of discussion and envigoration that they accepted to come along with us. However once the bus started everyone soothed his nerve.
Our bus started rolling and we started having fun on our own. Leg pulling, story telling, jokes cracking and what not. It was a real mix.We were going on smooth when a tragedy happened and lalan got hit by wire and he lost what we playfully called nayan yantra. For a moment i rued the fact that it was me who was bent on sitting on the roof top. However he took the charge, told us to calm down. We settled down and started playing the fun tune once again.
It was around 4:30 that we reached digha. With in 10 mins we were on the beach, all supercharged. Memories of last time trip became afresh as soon as i saw the beach. Everyone cried for snapshots in unison. However no one wanted photographer's job. It remained a gruelling effort to convince someone to photograph. It was almost 5:30 when we entered the ocean . Water cool and we supercool. I went on to swin all the styles of swimming from butterfly to breast stroke, although in my imagination. Ohh!!! It was such a fun until i found my cell not working properly. Somehow water seeped into it and we lost some amazing snaps. We braved the ocean for almost four hours. All exhausted , we then took our turn to the edge.
I wished we could prolong our stay but one of our friend was to take a test the next day. We camped in the nearby field for sometime. Some of us were totally exhausted. We then decided to split into two groups. One of them going for some other spots and exploring digha while others staying and re energizing themshelves. I and my two friends (Both of them have the same name - Manish) went on to look for some other site seeing place. While searching we came across a park. Though it looked dull from outside, it was a nice place to taste the flavour of nature. I enjoyed the park thoroughly. The lush green enchanted me. I wanted to stay a bit more but friends started calling to come back quickly as they decided to return. We boarded the bus at around 4 o'clock in the evening and returned back. These happy memories will remain forever..................
